Why is Severe Weather Awareness Important?
Severe weather comes in many different forms that have the ability to take life. It is our mission to make you aware of the threats, the safety precautions that should be taken, and how to aquire information regarding the threat level for each individual type of severe weather. You may not be able to stop inclement weather, but armed with knoweledge you are more likely to be safe.
On any given year approximately 170 individuals will die from tornadoes, flooding, or lightning. (NOAA)
