Dissipating Stage: All Downdrafts

The picture displays a cloud that is in the dissipating stage. The precipitation is ending as the thunderstorm dies. Although as the cool dense air associated with the downdraft sinks to the ground and spreads out other thunderstorms can be generated as a result of the warm moist air being moved upward. These regions are called outflow zones and will be explained in detail later.
