2008 summary: This was the first year I truly chased during the main severe weather season. It began on May 1st in Missouri with a supercell, but no confirmed tornado. I chased the Parkersburg day in Iowa, but had the wrong target and ended up missing most of the action that day. I chased once with the TWISTEX project that ended up being a very successful day for the project in north central Kansas. I then chased a few line out bust days in western Iowa and eastern Nebraska. One of those chases, however, brought me within a few miles of the Little Sioux Scout Ranch tornado.
