• Using VP as an instructional/pedgogical tool in the learning process invites to:

  • continuous reflection (students/teachers) with a view to the past and the future as a basis for deciding the next step in the learning process
  • designed tasks of reflection may be built into the VP
  • self-assessment on the basis of a structured îhistoryî of the past learning process
  • e.g. Global Change: http://www.iitap.iastate.edu/gcp/portfolio/sample.html
  • Global Change might incorporate peer-review ìspacesî or tasks into the VP (also reduces instructor work load)
