Meteorology 543
- Term Paper Instructions
Fall 2018
The term paper should show how atmospheric dynamics (circulation
processes) are part of your thesis research. Ideally, it would draw
upon some of the material learned in this course, but there are
multiple aspects of atmospheric dynamics, of course, that are not
covered by any one course.
- The paper itself should be 2-3 pages. That is, it should be a
succinct presentation of how atmospheric dynamics help you
understand your research topic and contribute to the goals of the
research.
- The class presentation should be about 5 minutes. This would be
about 3 slides or so. Be sure to explain
- The research topic and the motivation for it, along with any
guiding hypotheses or research questions
- The role of atmospheric dynamics, as found so far or
anticipated/hypothesized.
- Expected outcomes
- You should strive to make sure all of us learn something from your
presentation.
