Course Objectives

  • Provide an introduction to opportunities available in meteorology during your student career, and opportunities for employment once you graduate (including graduate school).
  • Establish student accounts on meteorology computers and familiarize students with system.
  • Create and develop Meteorology Student Portfolio.

Attendance

  • REQUIRED.
  • Will be recorded via roll call, assignment, or similar means.

Meteorology Student Portfolios

Procedure for Computer/Math Labs

Some of our classes will involve computer and mathematics exercises that are relevant to meteorology majors.

General rules:
  1. You are free to consult others on how to do the lab, but
  2. You must hand in your own report.
  3. No photocopies!

The labs will often entail accessing meteorology computers .

Labs are due one week after assigned, unless stated otherwise.

Grading

  • Your grade will be based on your attendance and your completion of homework assignments.
  • Since this course is graded pass/fail, exact percentages will not be given. Do your homework and come to class and you will receive a passing grade.
